Bi-County Community Action Programs, Inc. (BI-CAP) is seeking a Head Start Manager for Bemidji, MN.
The role of the Head Start Manager, under the general direction of the Head Start Director, is to support the BI-CAP Head Start: Prenatal to Five mission to give children and families a head start for kindergarten and for life.
The Manager directly supervises Head Start staff, as assigned. The Manager monitors the delivery of educational, family support services, Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment and Attendance (ERSEA), and other content areas for all Head Start sites.
The Manager will lead staff in using curriculum and assessment to fidelity while following parent/caregiver and child learning practices in a full-family approach.
The position will make certain the goals of the BI-CAP Head Start: Prenatal to Five Program are achieved by involving parents and guardians, collaborating with community partners and providing direction, guidance and support to staff in meeting program goals and objectives.
Manager duties include supervising staff as assigned; monitoring delivery of education and support services; preparing reports; overseeing record maintenance and more.
Requirements: The job requires: a bachelor’s degree, preferably related to the disciplines of family, health or disabilities. The position requires a minimum of four years of related experience.
Must have a strong commitment to BI-CAP’s values of collaboration, innovation and compassion as well as a respect for diversity. Applicants must pass a DHS Background Study. Applicants must meet DHS & MN Rule 3 licensing requirements.
