Our Child Care Connections Division is seeking to offer the following opportunity:

Early Childhood Workforce Advisor
Collaborate with a statewide team working to empower, prepare, and sustain the diverse early childhood workforce across Minnesota. Support prospective educators with no formal experience in the field, as well as current educators looking to acquire additional training or resources to advance their career. Provide workforce advising, referrals to wraparound resources and services, job skills training and job placement assistance, and technical assistance to programs and individuals interested in the Empower to Educate MN program.

 

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development OR Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with a minimum of 6 college credits related to early childhood
Ability to obtain a Career Lattice Step 10A or higher from Achieve MNCPD https://www.mncpd.org/career-lattice/
Strong interpersonal, organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
Ability to work independently, to be resourceful and adaptable, and to work within a flexible schedule. Some evening and weekends may be required
Data entry and computer knowledge
Must hold a valid driver’s license, current insurance coverage if using own vehicle, and be able to arrange own transportation to meet with clients and conduct business within the service delivery area
Must be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus by the first day of employment with the agency (qualified religious or medical exemptions will be considered)

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in the field of early childhood education
Experience with community organizing, community engagement, and/or outreach
