Family, Friend & Neighbor Child Care Navigator
Build trusting relationships with Latinx Family, Friend & Neighbor (FFN) caregivers and those who support them. Use strengths-based tools to support caregivers in their learning journey. Promote children’s healthy physical, social-emotional, and cognitive development. Connect FFN caregivers to services and resources and help them navigate the Legal Non-Licensed registration process to receive subsidy payments.
We encourage applications from applicants of all cultural backgrounds, regardless of where experience, credits or degree were attained. Position has potential to home office within the service area.
§ High school diploma or GED equivalent
§ Bilingual in Spanish & English
§ Experience working with families and/or children
§ Strong interpersonal, organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
§ Ability to work independently and within a flexible schedule. Some evening and weekends may be required.
§ Must be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus by first day of employment with the agency (qualified religious or medical exemptions will be considered)
§ Must hold a valid driver’s license, current insurance coverage if using own vehicle, and be able to arrange transportation to meet with clients and conduct business within the service delivery area.
§ Child Development Associate credential (CDA), Associates degree or higher in child development, early childhood, family science, human services, or related field
§ Experience working in child care or early learning programs
