MAHUBE-OTWA Community Action Partnership, Inc. is seeking applicants for Head Start Center Teacher Assistants/Bus Drivers (Infants, Toddler, and Preschoolers) for the 2020-2021 program year, in Becker, Hubbard, and Mahnomen counties.  These positions are full-time, benefited, 40 hours/week, seasonal positions, Mid-August to May for preschool; Mid-August to July for infants and toddlers depending on location.  PLEASE STATE YOUR PREFERENCE OF POSITION AND LOCATION ON YOUR APPLICATION.   

TITLE:   Head Start Center Teacher Assistant/Bus Driver

DUTY STATION:   MAHUBE-OTWA Classroom Sites in Becker, Hubbard, and Mahnomen Counties.

QUALIFICATIONS:  REQUIRED: (Head Start) Center Based Teacher Assistants/Bus Drivers, must have a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or a state-awarded Early Childhood Certificate, are enrolled in a program that will lead to an Associate or Baccalaureate Degree in Early Childhood Education, or enrolled in a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential program to be completed within two years of the time of hire. (Early Head Start) Center Based Teacher Assistants/Bus Drivers that provide direct services to infants and toddlers in Early Head Start Centers must have a minimum of Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or comparable credential and have been trained or have equivalent coursework in Early Childhood Development with a focus on infant and toddler development.   A Minnesota Driver’s License and have or willing to obtain a CDL. PREFERRED: Have an Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education, or equivalent coursework and hold a current teaching license.

BASIC FUNCTION:  The Head Start Center Teacher Assistant/Bus Driver position provides assistance to the center teacher in the delivery of required services to Head Start children and families through classroom activities and home visits.  The person in this position must adhere to the Agency Standards of Conduct and Agency Values of client focused, community minded and resourcefulness.  Must have the ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality of client information and work materials.
