Semcac Head Start is looking for a Coach Mentor Specialist for their program throughout SE MN.  The position supports preschool children through professional development and coaching around teaching practices. The coach/mentor specialist will work with teams to identify resources, set goals, and track progress. The position also provides hands-on support and modeling in the classroom. A successful candidate will respect and respond competently to the culture, traditions, lifestyle, language, and values of each family and community. A Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college in Early Childhood Education – OR – a related field that includes ten or more courses in Early Childhood Education, and 3-5 years of early childhood teaching experience is required. The position can work out of Kasson, Winona, or Austin offices. Travel throughout the six-county service area is required. Preferred experience includes: Head Start, Practice Based Coaching, Conscious Discipline, and Creative Curriculum.
