Providing our staff and directors full involvement in the leadership and work of the Association makes them an equal partner in the mission and vision of the organization. Each Head Start program is able to send one staff and director to serve on their respective affiliates with full voting rights in the MHSA General Assembly. 5 delegates from the Director affiliate and 5 delegates from the Staff affiliate serve on the MHSA Board of Directors, with shared decision making in the operation of the Association.
MHSA sponsors several training opportunities for the professionals that do the work of MHSA and it’s member agencies.
In MHSA’s efforts to support the parents and professionals of the Association, we cannot meet all the needs through the work of our Association staff. In conjunction with our community partners, these are additional training opportunities that may be of interest to those in the early childhood field.
