During the three-day Level 2 fiscal training, participants will review the Notice of Award and explore the conditions of the award. Attendees will learn about executing the budget in compliance with federal regulations, including discussions on requirements such as procurement and property management.

Participants will discuss fiscal policies and procedures and the importance of keeping fiscal P&P’s current. We will examine budget monitoring in greater depth, including budget forecasting, revisions, the carryover process, and fiscal reporting requirements and discuss the fiscal role of the policy council and the fiduciary responsibilities of the governing body according to HS regulations. We will explore fiscal planning for facilities and delve into the budgetary implications of changes in scope. Region XI Grants Management staff and Programs Specialists will be on-hand to answer questions.

Attendance at Level 1 is not required, although a strong fiscal foundation is encouraged for this session. Bring your questions and your expertise. Our learning approach is active – be prepared to learn by doing.
