Full Job Description: **$2,000 Sign-On Bonus** Position can be located in Willmar, Marshall, or Cosmos JOB STATUS: Full time (40 hours/week), 12 months per year, Non-Union Position RESPONSIBILITIES: To provide coordination of ECSE referrals and oversite of licensed mental health professionals. Develop and process LEA agreements, MPUs, and mental health contracts. Establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships with staff, counterparts, and partners, such as local school districts, county collaborative groups and local mental health partners. Participate in committees as assigned. Attend conferences, meetings & trainings as needed or requested. Responsible for completing documents accurately and in a timely manner. Keep program manager informed of personnel successes and challenges. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: • To know and follow the Agency Policies and Procedures, Head Start Program Service Plan, Head Start Act of 2007, Head Start Performance Standards and Minnesota Licensing Statutes. • Coordinate additional services for children with diagnosed or suspected disabilities. • Support a program-wide culture that promotes children’s mental health and well-being. • Coordinate and provide professional development for Head Start teaching staff on how to align or work with specific disabilities’ diagnoses. • Oversee the quality of mental health services and positive interactions. • Support and model UCAP’s Behavioral Competencies. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: At minimum a Baccalaureate degree related to Early Childhood mental health or disabilities. CPR and First Aid certification. Optional: CLASS certification or willingness to obtain within one (1) year. KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS: • Ability to develop and maintain individual and community partnerships. • Problem solving and conflict resolution skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Ability to train and provide technical assistance to on and off-site staff. • Ability to plan, set goals, monitor implementation, and evaluate program activities. • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Efficient working knowledge of computer systems and software programs. • Ability to oversee the delivery of services to children and families at assigned sites. • Reliable, regular attendance. • Must agree to a Satisfactory Background Study. • Must have satisfactory medical exam and health screenings as requested per Head Start regulations.
