Full Job Description: Who you are: You are a great communicator: you can discuss student needs with parents and colleagues. You are able to communicate well with toddlers. You respond with patience and are able to work with toddlers with different abilities. You’re creative, you can plan lessons that engage young children, and you can adapt lessons for different learning styles. You’re organized with lesson plans and records. You have strong computer skills. A day in the life: As a teacher you’ll help develop the classroom environment; you’ll plan and implement daily activities and assessments; you’ll observe and record child development and behaviors; and you’ll work side-by-side with a co-teacher, an aide and volunteers in the classroom. Qualifications: You’ll need a minimum of a Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA); or a 2 or 4 year degree in Early Childhood Education; or a degree in a related field, with early childhood teaching experience. You must have a strong commitment to BI-CAP’s values of collaboration, innovation, compassion, diversity, equity and inclusion. Applicants must pass a DHS Background Study and meet DHS & MN Rule 3 licensing requirements. Wages: You’ll be eligible for a competitive benefits package and the opportunity to make a difference in the community. Full-time, 40 hours/week, year-round, $17.18 - $21.04/hour depending on education-level and years experience - with benefits. Schedule:7:30am-3:30pm M-Th; 4 hours on Friday. 8 five-hour days is also possible.
