MAHUBE-OTWA Head Start serves approximately 500 children ages 0-5 and pregnant people in northwest MN in the counties of Mahnomen, Hubbard, Becker, Otter Tail and Wadena. Options include home base, center base and family childcare in Mahnomen, Becker and Hubbard Counties and family childcare in Otter Tail and Wadena Counties. The program partners will several community agencies and organizations to provide comprehensive services for the entire family. Partnerships with local school districts also allows for children with special needs to be served with their peers in the Head Start settings and on home visits. The program implements a Whole Family Approach believing that the best way to serve children is to support whole family in achieving upward mobility.
