The Coaching 2.5 Institute builds on the content from the Practice-Based Coaching Implementation Academy (PBCIA) that had previously been offered by National Center (2014) or OHS Region V TTA (2015-21) staff. The Coaching 2.5 Institute is an opportunity for recipient teams, using Practice-Based Coaching, to analyze their current professional development efforts and update their plans to implement a research-based, coordinated coaching strategy that includes intensive coaching, as indicated in the Head Start Program Performance Standards.
Coaching 2.5 Institute Goals
· Explicitly link PBC to professional development, training and technical assistance, and other quality improvement activities
· Assess current coaching systems, with focus on data utilization and “Coaching the Coach” supports
· Explore strategies and resources to support full implementation of PBC fidelity utilizing in-person, virtual or hybrid coaching
· Identify program management system implications and support their inclusion in PBC planning and implementation
· Revise and strengthen PATH plans to continuously improve PBC in their organization
