FAMILY ADVOCATE
Bi-County Community Action Programs, Inc. (BI-CAP) is seeking a Head Start Family Support Advocate in Backus, MN.

You’re a good problem solver and are supportive.  You’re a leader with strong problem solving skills.  You are good at fostering health and productive relationships with children and parents/caregivers. You are organized with paperwork and documentation.
A day in the life:

You will serve Cass County families in Walker and Pine River/Backus. You will coordinate and provide direct support services to Head Start families through home visits, family needs assessment, family goals, resource and referrals, establishing and maintaining community partnerships, and doing recruitment/enrollment.

Qualifications:

Within 18 months of hire, you will need to have, at a minimum, a credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling or a related field. Two years’ worth of related experience preferred.

You must have a strong commitment to BI-CAP’s values of collaboration, innovation, compassion, diversity, equity and inclusion. Applicants must pass a DHS Background Study and meet DHS & MN Rule 3 licensing requirements.

Wage and benefits:
You’ll be eligible for a competitive benefits package and the opportunity to make a difference in the community. Full time, 40 hours per week with benefits. Starting at $15.77/hr. depending on qualifications.
