Our Child Care Connections Division is seeking to offer the following opportunity:

Child Startup & Retention Navigator
Recruit, retain, and support new child care programs by providing technical assistance, coaching, and connection to resources. Collaborate with state and local community partners within the Child Care Aware system and the regional service area (9 counties of West Central Minnesota) to respond to regional child care supply & demand needs.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

·       Current CDA OR Associate’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood, or a related field (minimum of Step 6 on Minnesota’s Career Lattice (https://www.mncpd.org/career-lattice/)

·        1 year of practical experience working directly with young children in an early childhood setting

·       Knowledge of Minnesota Rule 2 and/or Rule 3 child care licensing regulations

·        Strong interpersonal, organizational, planning, and prioritization skills

·        Ability to work independently, to be resourceful and adaptable, and to work within a flexible schedule. Some evening and weekends may be required

·        Must be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus by first day of employment (medical & religious exemptions will be considered)

·       Must hold a valid driver’s license, current insurance coverage if using own vehicle, and be able to arrange own transportation to meet with clients and conduct business within the service delivery area

·        

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood, Family Science, or a related field

·       Experience with community organizing, community engagement, and/or outreach
