It’s GO TIME!

An April 11 article in USA TODAY says, “The Trump administration is considering a budget proposal that would zero out funding for Head Start.”

WE CANNOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN!

Eliminating funding for Head Start would be catastrophic! To children. To families. To communities.

With that in mind, we need Congress to hear from every member of the Head Start community that they must oppose any effort to eliminate or dramatically cut funding for Head Start.

Yes, it’s a tough, uncertain time, but Head Start is too important for each of us not to do everything we can to protect it! And the only way we will be successful is if everyone does their part.

PLEASE take two minutes to urge your Members of Congress to protect Head Start and oppose any effort to eliminate or disrupt this life-changing program that strengthens families and boosts local economies.

After emailing your Members of Congress, we need your assistance in getting this message out to your networks – by email, by text, or by social media – to ask Head Start families, staff, alumni, friends, and anyone who cares about Head Start to join us in delivering our message to Congress.

Over 750,000 of our nation’s most at-risk children and their families are at risk of losing a vital lifeline to stability and self-sufficiency.
