Representative Pete Stauber Supports Head Start
Gratitude for House Support
Minnesota Head Start and National Head Start are grateful to Head Start alumna Rep. Jahana Hayes (D-CT) and Rep. Pete Stauber (R-MN) for their leadership in generating House-wide support in the form of letters urging increased funding for Head Start to Chairman Robert Aderholt (R-AL) and Ranking Member Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) of the House Labor-HHS Appropriations Subcommittee. A total of 190 Representatives urged the Subcommittee to continue to invest in and build on the successes of Head Start.
At a time when there are significant disagreements on the federal budget and the most effective use of taxpayer dollars, NHSA believes, and the signers of these letters agree, that building on investments in Head Start continues to be a prudent course of action. NHSA greatly appreciates the support of these 190 Representatives.
